The final off-t.v. Fight saw Holland, Michigan’s USBO Jr. welterweight champion Johnny Garcia endure a tougher-than-expected Dyme Boxing's John "Spidey" Williams out of Charlotte, NC over eight non-title rounds. While Gacia’s volume advantage was unmistakable, his porous defense enabled the less active, but accurate punches of Williams to find their mark and do damage. Garcia was nicked on the right cheekbone by the fourth, which saw him get tagged hard just before the round-ending bell. Williams came out guns blazing at the start of the fifth, perhaps sensing he had something going at the end of the previous round, but Garcia met whatever Williams threw with more, if not wilder punches of his own. It came down to whether the judges would favor the cleaner, more damaging punches of Williams or the more voluminous barrages of Garcia. As fate would have it, the cleaner work was the taste of two of the three with Wynn Kintz seeing a draw at 76-76, while Glenn Feldman and Don Ackerman each tabbed it at 77-75 for the upset winner John Williams. In the din of the crowd, refereee Benji Estevez mistakenly raised the hand of Garcia, only hearing the “John” portion of Williams’ name, and thinking he heard “Johnny” Garcia. Williams improves to 12-3-1, 5 KOs, while Garcia slips to 19-2, 11 KOs
